Six Years of Road of Rainbows

From a simple idea to one of New England’s most unique Pride celebrations.

RoR Counselors

RoR Counselors first met in 2019, they were a group of folks with oversight, veto and, decision power tasked to help ensure RoR is an inclusive event. Counselors insight, ideas, and dedication to creating an inclusive athletic event are a legacy to what the Road of Rainbows is today.

Year 1 2020

Road of Rainbows launched on Halloween 2020 during the pandemic. Nearly 200 runners gathered in costume for our very first event.

Year 2 2021

Moved to Pride Weekend and doubled to more than 400 runners, proving the event was here to stay.

Year 3 2022

Road of Rainbows became a legacy Pride event, welcoming THOUSANDS of runners and community members each year.

Year 4 2023

The event moved to its new home on the other side of Boston Common, creating room for even more runners, spectators, and celebration.

Year 5 2024

The celebration expanded beyond the finish line with the launch of Pride Outside, our Pride block party featuring live performances, food, drinks, and community.

Year 6 2025

The festival grew again with the launch of Orgullo Latino, introducing dedicated Spanish-language programming, Latin artists, and an even more inclusive Pride experience.
