Pride 5K & Celebration
Every year, thousands of people gather for Road of Rainbows to celebrate Pride through movement, visibility, connection, and joy.
Produced by Boston Theater Company, Road of Rainbows combines a Pride 5K, community celebration, live entertainment, Orgullo Latino, and Pride Outside to create one of New England's most unique Pride experiences.
Why Road Of Rainbows Exists
Road of Rainbows was built on a simple idea: Pride should be welcoming, accessible, and community-centered.
From gender-neutral awards to ASL interpretation, every part of the event is designed to ensure people can participate as their full selves.
More than half of participants attend through free or reduced-cost registration programs because we believe cost should never be a barrier to Pride.
Many attendees arrive alone.
Many leave with new friends, new connections, and a stronger sense of community.
That spirit of belonging continues to guide everything we do.

Community impact
Road of Rainbows is more than a 5K.
It is a Pride celebration, a community gathering, a platform for queer artists, and a space where people come together to celebrate who they are.
Each year the event brings together runners, walkers, performers, volunteers, sponsors, and community members from across the region.
The finish line is only the beginning.

When resources extend beyond event expenses, they help strengthen year-round LGBTQ+ programming through Boston Theater Company.
